Our client is looking for a Head of Client Accounting, you will lead the client accounting function, ensuring high-quality service delivery, strong internal controls, and exceptional client satisfaction. This role combines strategic oversight, team leadership, and hands-on client management within a regulated, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the client accounting function, setting clear objectives and performance frameworks
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all accounting, tax, and reporting activities
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls, quality standards, and governance frameworks
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve business processes, policies, and standard operating procedures
- Manage departmental budgets, monitor costs, and ensure adherence to financial controls
- Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams through clear KPIs, performance reviews, and training plans
- Oversee audit processes, address findings, and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively
- Manage a portfolio of premium clients and act as a senior escalation point for complex issues
- Ensure all client services comply with relevant regulations, legislation, and compliance requirements
- Drive a customer-centric culture focused on service quality, timeliness, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with sales and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery and optimal resource utilization
- Coordinate with authorities and external stakeholders to resolve client and operational matters
- Ensure timely completion of renewals, deliverables, and statutory deadlines
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, CPA, or CMA is an advantage
- Significant experience in client accounting, operations, or professional services within the UAE
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and tax computations
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Excellent understanding of quality standards, compliance, and regulatory environments
- Strong client relationship management and customer service expertise
- Proficiency in English or Arabic is an advantage.
