Title: Head of Compliance - Fintech (6 Month Contract)

About the Client
Our client, a rapidly growing regulated financial services firm in the UAE, is looking to appoint an experienced Head of Compliance on a 6-month contract basis.
This role will lead the organisation's regulatory compliance function, ensuring the business maintains strong oversight of regulatory obligations, compliance monitoring activities, regulatory reporting processes, and conduct and consumer protection frameworks. The position will also play an important role in maintaining engagement with regulators and supporting senior leadership on regulatory matters.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the organisation's regulatory compliance framework, ensuring alignment with applicable UAE regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Oversee regulatory obligations management, compliance monitoring programmes and regulatory reporting processes.
- Provide oversight and guidance on conduct risk and consumer protection matters across the organisation.
- Act as a key point of contact for engagement with regulators and relevant supervisory authorities.
- Advise senior management and board-level committees on regulatory developments and compliance considerations.
- Support the development and enhancement of compliance policies, procedures, and governance structures.
- Contribute to the development and strengthening of the compliance function within a growing financial services environment.
Requirements
- Experience in regulatory compliance within a regulated financial services organisation (banking, payments, e-money institutions, or fintech environments preferred).
- Demonstrated experience interacting with regulators.
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, regulatory reporting, monitoring programmes, conduct risk, and consumer protection requirements.
- Confident engaging with regulators, executive leadership, and board stakeholders.
- A practical, hands-on approach with experience developing or strengthening compliance functions in scaling or fast-paced environments.
