My client is a market-leading global energy company, recognised as a major player in the power generation and utilities space in Qatar.
They are seeking a senior construction leader to oversee and deliver complex construction projects across multiple plant sites. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and in line with required technical and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end construction delivery, from planning through execution and handover
- Manage contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance
- Oversee site safety, quality assurance, and adherence to local regulations
- Monitor project progress and provide regular performance and risk reports to senior leadership
- Chair contractual and technical meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Resolve on-site technical and operational challenges to minimise delays
- Support business growth initiatives by aligning construction execution with strategic objectives
- Contribute to budgeting, cost control, and financial performance monitoring
- Develop, lead, and motivate construction teams, fostering high performance and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, MBA an advantage
- Minimum 10 years experience in large-scale construction roles, including senior management responsibility
- Strong knowledge of power, energy, or water infrastructure projects
- Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, Arabic is a plus
- Strong understanding of GCC construction environments and working culture
Compensation Package
- Circa QAR 31,000 based on experience (incl: Basic Pay, Housing & Transportation allowance) plus additional benefits
