Contract & Commercial Management
- Lead the drafting, negotiation, review, and finalization of all contracts, subcontracts, and agreements.
- Ensure that all contracts are aligned with company policies, legal standards, and project requirements.
- Manage variations, claims, and contractual correspondences to safeguard the company's interests.
- Conduct risk analysis and implement mitigation strategies for all commercial and contractual matters.
- Oversee compliance with FIDIC and other relevant contract forms.
Financial & Cost Control
- Monitor project budgets, cash flow, cost reports, and forecasts.
- Evaluate financial performance to ensure profitability and cost efficiency.
- Support project teams with cost tracking, variation management, and cost-to-complete reporting.
- Review and approve project financial statements, payment certificates, and commercial summaries.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Contracts and Commercial team.
- Collaborate with project managers, finance, procurement, and legal departments to ensure commercial consistency.
- Provide guidance on dispute resolution, arbitration, and negotiation strategies.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Act as the company's primary representative for commercial discussions, claims, and settlements.
- Ensure timely communication and resolution of commercial issues across all projects.
Qualifications & Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, or Business Administration.
- Professional certifications preferred: MRICS / RICS, PMP, FIDIC Certification, CCP, or Contract Management Certificate.
- Strong understanding of contract law, FIDIC conditions, and UAE construction regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and cost management software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
Experience:
- Minimum 1215 years of experience in contracts and commercial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in large-scale construction, infrastructure, or real estate development projects.
- Demonstrated success in managing claims, disputes, and project commercial performance.
