Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

Credit Administration, Monitoring and Control Department is the main control function of the Corporate Banking which is the guardian of compliance with the bank's internal policies and procedures for extension of Credit to Corporate, financial institutions and MSB.

Key Accountabilities:

Legal Documentation compliance, preparation and execution :

  • Oversight on the review process to ensure that documents are in accordance with the Credit Committee approval and related conditions
  • Responsible for preparing, validating supervising, and ensuring that standard documents with standard clauses are used by the businesses as per the bank's internal policies.
  • Ensure in consultation with Legal department that documentation contains the covenants which are legally binding, enforceable and material for the processing of the credit proposals.
  • Post Credit Approval, ensure that detailed completeness check is performed by unit staff from CBG RMs against internal checklists to ensure all documents prepared and requested by the Credit Documentation Unit have been provided and that the required documents are provided by Relationship Manager and signed by the customer/obligor.

Collateral Monitoring:

  • Ensure oversight on the Collateral evaluation, lodgment, release, monitoring and management process.
  • Ensure bank's interests are protected in all exposures where there is some form of collateral available.
  • Work closely with legal, operations, treasury, and investment teams to ensure the adherence of collateral management related policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the collateral taken as a support/ security / risk mitigants for the transaction are lodged according to the requirements and guidelines of the Credit policy and Procedures Manual.

Limits Processing and Implementation:

  • Ensure adequate oversight on the limit input processing and associated controls.
  • Responsible for reviewing the approved credits to ensure that they are adhering to the stated standards in the credit policy and procedures manual

Maintain regular communication with key internal stakeholders:

  • Monitor and oversight to ensure all inquiries and requests received from CBG RMs and other relevant parties, related to CAMAC service delivery are followed up on timely basis
  • Ensure that emails from the business (CBG) are responded to promptly by the respective CAMAC unit, Quality Assurance and Business Engagement teams, as applicable

Project Management:

  • Oversight on project management and monitoring the execution of all projects undertaken by CAMAC including implementation of strong program / project management practices (issues management, risk management and decision tracking)
  • Ensure CAMAC's internal issues and its client issues (business units) are identified, prioritized and resolved in a timely manner

Manage the Operational effectiveness and efficacy of the CAMAC functions:

  • Design, review and ensure implementation of credit administration structure and procedures within the Bank through continuous interaction with various divisions/departments/units/branches on an ongoing basis
  • Oversight on the measurement and monitoring of the turn-around time with respect to applications processed by CAMAC and ensure related information is reported to relevant stakeholders including the Chief Risk Officer on a timely basis
  • Oversight on the monitoring of the CAMAC KPIs and ensure these are managed within the defined thresholds

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance. or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:

  • +8 years of experience in credit risk management with at least 10 years of experience in Credit Administration, Monitoring & Control

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Strong understanding of credit administration processes/operations with strong technical knowledge in banking and credit related aspects.
  • Good understanding of limit management & its regulatory implications.
  • Understanding of legal documentation
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk systems and reporting.
  • Good project management and team management skills.
