Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo for the Head of Demand Planning, Supply Planning & Inventory – Food Retail. The role involves leading the end-to-end demand forecasting process across all product categories, analyzing historical sales, market trends, and promotional plans to ensure accurate forecasts and optimal stock levels. The individual will oversee supply planning, coordinating with procurement, production, and logistics teams to align supply with demand, minimize stock-outs, and reduce excess inventory. Daily responsibilities include monitoring inventory performance, setting and reviewing safety stock and reorder parameters, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives for planning tools, reporting, and processes. The role also includes collaborating closely with merchandising, finance, and operations to support new product launches, seasonal campaigns, and strategic business decisions, while building and mentoring a high-performing planning team.

Qualifications

• Strong demand and supply planning capabilities, including experience in forecasting, inventory management, and replenishment within food retail or FMCG environments.
• Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and planning or ERP systems, and the ability to interpret data, develop insights, and present clear recommendations.
• Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience building, coaching, and motivating cross-functional or planning teams.
• Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, production, warehousing, and distribution, preferably in a multi-channel retail setting.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with merchandising, finance, operations, and senior management.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree or professional certification (e.g., APICS, CPIM) is an advantage.
• Experience working with food products, cold chain, or perishable goods is highly beneficial, along with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and
