Role Description The Supply Chain Planning & Demand Strategy Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, responsible for leading end-to-end supply chain planning and demand management for Gourmet Egypt's product portfolio. This role oversees forecasting processes, demand planning models, and inventory strategies to ensure product availability, minimize waste, and support growth across retail and e-commerce channels. The director collaborates closely with production, sourcing, merchandising, retail operations, and finance to align supply chain plans with commercial objectives and promotional activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing sales and demand data, setting planning parameters, optimizing replenishment, and driving continuous improvement in planning tools and processes. The role also involves leading and developing a planning team, establishing performance metrics, and contributing to long-term business strategy in line with the company's mission and customer promise.
Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data sets, build accurate demand forecasts, and support data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in strategic planning and business strategy to design robust supply chain and demand management frameworks aligned with company goals.
• Experience in consulting and management consulting, or similar advisory roles, to drive cross-functional alignment and process improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated leadership in supply chain, demand planning, or operations management, preferably within food retail, FMCG, or manufacturing.
• Advanced skills in demand planning tools, ERP systems, and Excel; familiarity with forecasting software or analytics platforms is an advantage.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and guide diverse teams.
• Track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams and managing change in fast-paced, evolving environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field; a relevant master's degree or professional certification
