About Our Client
Investments arm of a large firm focusing on PE & VC
Job Description
- Leads due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including market analysis, competitive assessment, financial modeling, etc.
- Analyzes and interprets financial statements, projections, etc. to evaluate the financial health, growth potential, and valuation of target companies
- Performs valuation analyses using various methodologies, such as discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions. Assesses the appropriateness of valuation multiples and financial assumptions
- Collaborates with investment teams to develop deal structures, negotiate terms sheets and contracts, and identify value creation opportunities for operating ventures
- Prepares detailed investment memoranda, including investment thesis, industry analysis, financial projections, and risk assessment. Presents findings and recommendations to executive and investment committees
- Supervises and mentors junior due diligence & execution professional(s), providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative work environment
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certification (CFA, CAIA, etc.) is desirable
- Proficiency in financial analysis, including financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and interpreting financial data. Strong understanding of corporate finance principles and valuation techniques
- Demonstrated experience in leading due diligence on potential investment targets, including market analysis, competitive assessment, and risk evaluation
- Sound understanding of deal structuring, investment terms, and negotiation techniques
- Good knowledge of private equity / venture capital industries.
