Head of Finance

Join us in a key leadership role where you will shape the financial performance, governance, and operational effectiveness of the business. As Head of Finance, you will work closely with the CEO and leadership team, providing critical financial insight and oversight to support sustainable growth and informed decision-making.

The Head of Finance is responsible for leading and overseeing all finance activities of the business, including receivables, payables, payroll, financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial controls, audit coordination, and business partnering. Acting as the primary finance advisor to the CEO and key interface with Group Finance, the role ensures the delivery of accurate financial information, compliance with accounting standards and governance requirements, effective working capital management, and the provision of financial insights that support operational, commercial, and strategic decision-making while driving continuous improvement in finance processes, systems, and controls.

Key Responsibilities

1. Receivables

• Oversee the customer billing, invoicing, collections, and receivables management processes to ensure accuracy, timely cash collection, and effective resolution of outstanding balances and disputes.
• Monitor aged receivables, collection performance, and cash collection forecasts, providing visibility of key risks and recommendations to management.

2. Procure-to-Pay / Payables

• Lead the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring effective governance over supplier invoices, payment approvals, vendor balances, and settlement of obligations.
• Ensure vendor-related matters are managed efficiently while maintaining appropriate cash flow controls and compliance with delegated authorities.

3. Payroll

• Oversee payroll activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely processing in coordination with HR and relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure payroll-related reconciliations, controls, and reporting requirements are effectively maintained.

4. Financial Accounting and Month-End Close

• Lead the monthly and annual financial close process, ensuring the integrity of financial records, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and fixed asset accounting.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, Group policies, and finance governance requirements while addressing accounting issues and unusual transactions.

5. Financial Reporting

• Oversee the preparation and submission of management accounts, financial reports, and reporting packages to Group Finance and other stakeholders.
• Provide performance analysis, variance reporting, and financial commentary to support management oversight and decision-making.

6. FP&A and Budgeting

• Lead the annual budgeting, business planning, forecasting, and reforecasting processes in alignment with business objectives.
• Monitor financial and operational performance, providing analysis of revenue, costs, margins, risks, opportunities, and key performance indicators to support business decisions.

7. Cash Flow and Working Capital

• Oversee cash flow management, liquidity requirements, and working capital performance to support the efficient utilization of financial resources.
• Monitor receivables, payables, and cash flow forecasts while identifying and escalating material financial risks where required.

8. Financial Controls and Governance

• Maintain an effective financial control environment across the organization, ensuring compliance with Group policies, delegated authorities, approval frameworks, and governance requirements.
• Support audit activities, monitor remediation of audit findings, and ensure appropriate documentation and control processes are maintained.

9. Commercial and Operational Finance Support

• Partner with operational and commercial teams to provide financial insight and support on contracts, tenders, commercial proposals, pricing, profitability, and business initiatives.
• Assess financial implications of key business decisions and provide timely analysis to support operational and commercial objectives.

10. Systems, Data and Process Improvement

• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and governance of financial data, systems, and reporting processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations, reporting, controls, automation, and finance systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

11. Audit, Compliance and Group Coordination

• Act as the primary finance interface with Group Finance, auditors, and key stakeholders and Abu Dhabi Aero ensuring timely coordination of reporting, audit, compliance, and governance requirements.
• Escalate significant financial, operational, or control matters and support the effective resolution of audit and reporting actions.

Professional Experience

• Minimum 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior finance leadership role within aviation, aerospace, MRO, engineering, transportation, logistics, or other asset-intensive industries.
• Proven experience managing finance business partnering and performance management functions in operationally intensive environments.
• Strong exposure to aviation operations, MRO activities, long-term service agreements, or asset-heavy industrial operations preferred.
• Experience operating within matrix organizations.
• Experience working within multi-entity, group, or matrix organizational structures.
• Demonstrated track record in financial planning, operational performance improvement, transformation, and governance.
• Experience supporting strategic investments, operational optimization initiatives, and business transformation programs.
