Role Overview

The Head of Finance is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering CARMA's global financial strategy, governance, and performance.

This role acts as a trusted partner to the CFO and Executive Committee, driving financial excellence across all regions, enabling commercial decision-making, and ensuring robust financial controls as the business scales.

The role oversees global finance operations, supports strategic growth (including M&A), and ensures CARMA operates with strong financial discipline, visibility, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Finance & Leadership

  • Partner with the Group Head of Finance, and ExCom to define and execute CARMA's global financial strategy
  • Translate business strategy into financial plans, forecasts, and performance frameworks
  • Act as a key advisor on commercial decisions, investments, and growth opportunities
  • Drive a culture of financial accountability and performance across all regions

Global Financial Planning & Performance

  • Lead global budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
  • Own consolidated financial reporting across all markets, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Deliver clear insights on revenue, profitability, margins, and cost optimisation opportunities
  • Establish and track key financial KPIs to drive business performance

Commercial Finance & Business Partnering

  • Partner with regional MDs and commercial leaders to improve profitability by client, product, and market
  • Support pricing strategies, contract structuring, and commercial negotiations
  • Provide visibility on client profitability and resource allocation to maximise returns
  • Enable data-driven decision-making across Sales, Client Services, and Operations

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Establish and maintain robust global financial controls, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial, legal, and tax requirements
  • Oversee statutory reporting and audits across multiple jurisdictions
  • Strengthen financial governance as the business scales globally

Cash Flow, Treasury & Funding

  • Oversee global cash flow management and working capital optimisation
  • Partner with Group Treasury on banking relationships, financing, and liquidity planning
  • Ensure effective receivables management and strong cash collection practices
  • Support funding strategies aligned to business growth

Global Finance Operations

  • Oversee core finance functions including AP, AR, payroll, and financial operations across regions
  • Drive process improvement, automation, and scalability of finance systems
  • Ensure consistency and standardisation across global finance practices

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead and develop a high-performing global finance team (direct and matrix)
  • Build capability across regions, ensuring strong financial acumen at leadership levels
  • Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement

M&A, Integration & Transformation

  • Support financial due diligence, valuation, and execution of acquisitions
  • Lead financial integration of new entities into CARMA's operating model
  • Drive post-acquisition governance, reporting, and performance alignment
  • Contribute to broader transformation initiatives across finance and the business

Requirements

  • Senior finance leader with global/multi-entity experience
  • UAE & MENA regional experience required
  • Strong commercial mindset with ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Proven experience in scaling businesses and improving financial performance
  • Experience in international environments with complex regulatory landscapes
  • Background in M&A, integration, or high-growth environments preferred
