Role Description
The Head of Finance is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for providing strategic financial direction and leadership to support the organisation's growth and long-term sustainability. The role oversees all financial operations, including financial planning, reporting, risk management, compliance, and control. The role should act as a trusted advisor to the Steering Committee and senior leadership, ensuring sound financial decisions underpin business strategy and performance.

Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the organisation's financial strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Provide strategic insight and commercial analysis to support business growth, investment, and profitability.
- Advise the CEO/Steering Committee on financial performance, business risks, and opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of strategic plans and long-term business models.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee the preparation of accurate, timely, and compliant management and statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP/ IFRS / KSA standards.
- Ensure effective financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance monitoring.
- Present financial results and key metrics to the Steering Committee and executive team, providing clear interpretation and recommendations.
- Ensure that robust systems are in place for cash flow management, working capital optimisation, and liquidity planning.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strong internal financial controls and risk management frameworks.
- Liaise with external auditors, legal advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Oversee the management of insurance, treasury, and banking relationships.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and collaboration.
- Ensure appropriate succession planning and talent development within the finance function.
Business Partnering & Operational Support
- Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insight and drive value across departments.
- Support commercial negotiations, contracts, and major investment decisions.
- Evaluate and advise on business initiatives, acquisitions, or expansion opportunities through financial modelling and due diligence.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Oversee financial systems and ERP platforms, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Drive process improvements and automation within finance and reporting workflows.
- Ensure that financial data supports effective decision-making across the organisation.

- Deep understanding of financial management, risk control, and corporate governance.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgement.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with ERP and BI systems.
Qualifications and Experience
- Formal accounting qualification.
- Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience, including 5 years experience in a senior finance role.
- Experience in both SMEs and larger organisations is beneficial including experience of working in an international organisation.
- Previous audit experience (either in-practice or managing external audits) is desirable.
- Proven track record in strategic financial planning, business partnering, and stakeholder management.
- Experience with M&A, investment appraisal, and capital management (desirable).
