Head of Financial Communications

About the Role

A leading global communications consultancy is seeking a Head of Financial Communications to lead its regional financial communications offering across the GCC. This senior leadership role will drive strategic counsel for high-profile clients including listed companies, financial institutions, sovereign entities, and corporates undergoing transformation, transactions, and market-sensitive events.

The successful candidate will bring deep GCC market expertise, strong financial media relationships, and a proven track record delivering complex mandates within a communications agency environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and grow the regional Financial Communications practice across GCC markets

* Provide senior strategic counsel on financial PR, investor communications, and corporate reputation

* Advise clients on IPOs, M&A, restructurings, earnings communications, and market announcements

* Develop integrated communications strategies aligned with financial and corporate objectives

* Support clients during crisis and issues situations related to financial performance and transactions

* Build and maintain strong relationships with regional financial, business, and capital markets media

* Act as senior advisor to CEOs, CFOs, IR teams, and Boards

* Drive business development and contribute to new client acquisition across the region

* Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing regional team

* Collaborate with corporate, public affairs, digital, and crisis teams across markets

* Ensure delivery excellence across multiple GCC client accounts

Requirements

* 15+ years experience in financial communications within a communications agency/consultancy

* Mandatory GCC experience across UAE and wider region

* Strong understanding of capital markets and regulatory environments in the GCC

* Experience advising listed companies, banks, and financial institutions

* Proven track record supporting IPOs, M&A, and earnings communications

* Established relationships with GCC financial and business media

* Strong commercial mindset and experience contributing to revenue growth

* Senior stakeholder engagement experience at C-suite and Board level

* Experience leading regional teams across multiple markets

* Fluent English required; Arabic is a strong advantage
