Role Description

The Head of Global Relations will lead on the delivery of the International Strategy for the Private Care Division and will be responsible for building and strengthening external relationships with senior independent healthcare stakeholders within the UK and Internationally. With responsibility for increasing international activity and income to the Trust.

You will lead the overall account management of International Services, which will include in country visits and hosting high profile delegations. The post holder will be responsible for the development of deeper, more strategic relationships with current international sponsors to ensure The Royal Marsden grows its reputation as a global oncology care leader and a provider of preference. This will ensure we maintain a responsive and proactive set of relationships, and are both responsive to shorter term needs, as well as developing new service propositions to fill gaps in the market.

You will also lead our efforts to increasing global brand awareness in countries where our relationships are less established. They will increase our referrals in emerging markets, building a truly global network. The post holder will present to senior executives at high profile delegations and in country visits. The post holder will also work with key stakeholders including: Private Care Senior Management Team International Team and departmental Managers Account management teams Commercial Finance Department

Experience

  • Strategic management experience within large private healthcare sector or NHS Track record of managing client relationships to drive productivity and income.
  • Proven experience of successful delivery of a commercial growth strategy Experience of working previously with GCC countries on commercial opportunities.
  • Specialist experience of working with Embassies to support treatment of international patients.
  • Experience of being a leader managing and delivering clinical services during a period of transformation change.
  • Proven experience analysing and interpreting performance data
  • Evidence of having previously developed international growth strategies within a Private Care context.

Qualifications

  • Degree and/or an appropriate professional qualification or equivalent
  • Masters level qualification or equivalent specialist knowledge acquired by experience
  • Arabic Languagewould be an advantage
