The business operates an asset-light trading and distribution model, driving growth through strong distributor networks across Africa and other emerging markets .
If you've built markets from scratch, fixed broken distributor networks, and driven revenue in complex geographies - this is your playground.
What You Will Own
You will take full ownership of international sales and marketing across multiple markets, with a clear mandate to drive growth and profitability.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and executing international market strategy across Africa and key global markets
- Identifying, appointing, and managing high-performing distributors across multiple countries
- Driving market entry into new geographies and scaling existing ones
- Owning pricing, margins, trade spend, and overall commercial performance
- Leading brand strategy and trade marketing execution in-market
- Building and leading international sales, export, and trade marketing teams
- Defining route-to-market models across diverse and complex environments
- Establishing performance frameworks, KPIs, and reporting discipline
- Driving demand planning alignment with supply chain and finance
- Managing distributor performance, accountability, and long-term partnerships
You should bring:
- 15+ years of FMCG experience, with strong exposure to food categories
- Proven track record of building and expanding international markets, especially across Africa
- Deep experience in distributor-led business models (appointment, management, optimisation)
- Strong ownership of both sales and marketing, including trade spend and commercial planning
- Hands-on experience in pricing, margins, and volume-driven businesses
