BettingJobs is working with an African focused operator, they have a strong online and retail presence in Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Democratic of Congo. They are looking for a Head of Marketing to join their team based in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the multi-market marketing strategy across sportsbook and casino
- Own marketing budgets, forecasts, and performance targets (CPA, LTV, ARPU)
- Build and lead a high-performance marketing team across acquisition, retention and brand
- Align marketing strategy with commercial, product and compliance teams
- Report performance and insights to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Lead go-to-market strategies for new African markets
- Ensure localised messaging, creatives & bonuses
- Work with country managers or local partners on language & cultural relevance
- Support licence and regulatory requirements from a marketing perspective
- Build a trusted, locally relevant brand presence in priority African markets
- Manage sponsorships (clubs, leagues, influencers, media partners)
- Oversee ATL/BTL campaigns where appropriate (radio, OOH, retail, activations)
- Ensure consistent brand identity across all touchpoints
- Own CRM strategy across sportsbook and casino
- Drive retention via:
- Bonuses & promotions
- Personalisation & segmentation
- SMS, push, WhatsApp, email
- Track and optimise marketing performance using analytics and attribution tools
- Monitor cohort performance by country, channel, product, and payment method
- Use insights to improve player quality, retention, and lifetime value
- Ensure marketing decisions are data-led, not vanity-driven
- Ensure all marketing activity complies with:
- Local gambling regulations
- Advertising standards
- Responsible gambling principles
Requirements:
- A solid background in digital/online marketing, with senior leadership experience
- Strong background in iGaming & betting
- Proven experience in African markets bonus for experience in Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Equatorial Guinea & launching in the Republic of Congo.
- Experience operating across multiple African markets (or emerging markets)
