Head of Mathematics for the
Academic Year 2026-2027 at our esteemed school. The ideal candidate will provide vision and leadership to the mathematics department, driving high standards in teaching and learning while fostering a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the mathematics department, ensuring alignment with the school's educational values and standards
- Develop and implement a comprehensive mathematics curriculum that meets the diverse needs of all students
- Monitor and evaluate student progress and teaching quality, providing feedback and support to enhance instructional practices
- Foster a culture of high expectations for both students and faculty, encouraging innovative and effective teaching strategies
- Collaborate with other department heads and school leadership to ensure a cohesive educational approach throughout the institution
- Organize professional development opportunities for mathematics teachers, promoting continuous learning and collaboration
- Actively engage with parents and the community to build strong partnerships that support student success in mathematics
- Stay informed on current trends and research in mathematics education to continuously enhance the curriculum and teaching methodologies
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
- PGCE or QTS is required
- Proven experience in a leadership role within an educational setting, ideally within the mathematics department
- Strong understanding of curricular frameworks and effective teaching practices in mathematics
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Passionate about mathematics and committed to fostering a positive learning environment for students and staff alike
- Experience with data-driven decision-making and student assessment strategies
- A commitment to professional development and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
