We're Hiring - Head of Procurement

Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Procurement to lead procurement, category management, and inventory operations while driving commercial performance across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously optimise the company's inventory and stocking strategy to maximise warehouse utilisation, inventory availability, and operational efficiency.
• Drive sustainable profit growth across stocked products by leveraging market intelligence, pricing analytics, and data-driven commercial strategies.
• Maintain high standards of data integrity and governance across a portfolio of more than 300,000 SKUs.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiate competitive pricing and rebate agreements, and strengthen supplier partnerships through effective vendor consolidation and category management.
• Promote collaboration and best-practice sharing across regional and global teams to improve procurement processes and operational excellence.
• Take ownership of end-to-end inventory replenishment, ensuring products are delivered on time and in full (OTIF) while minimising excess and ageing inventory.
• Lead, mentor, and develop category and inventory management teams, fostering a high-performance culture and building a strong succession pipeline.
• Manage key product categories, driving sourcing strategies, supplier performance, profitability, and long-term category growth.

Ideal Candidate

• Proven leadership experience in procurement, category management, or supply chain within a multinational environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with extensive experience in strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.
• Demonstrated success managing large and complex product portfolios.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies across procurement and supply chain functions.
