Contract Type: Full-time

Reporting to: Executive Director / Senior Management

About EBDA

The Egyptian Biodynamic Association is a leading non-profit organization working to transform agriculture and rural livelihoods in Egypt through biodynamic and organic farming, capacity building, climate action, and regenerative economic models. EBDA supports thousands of farmers and plays a pioneering role in sustainability initiatives such as the Economy of Love (EoL) Standard.

To ensure the long-term financial sustainability and scaling of its mission, EBDA is seeking a highly qualified Head of Fundraising.

Position Purpose

The Head of Fundraising is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing EBDA's fundraising and resource mobilization strategy. This is a senior leadership role focused exclusively on donor engagement, funding acquisition, and strategic partnerships.

The position does not include project implementation or day-to-day project management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement EBDA's overall fundraising and resource mobilization strategy in coordination with senior leadership
  • Set fundraising targets, priorities, and pipelines aligned with EBDA's strategic goals
  • Diversify funding sources to ensure long-term financial resilience

Donor & Partner Management

  • Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with: (

Private foundations - High-net-worth individuals - Corporate foundations and Corporate Social Responsibility - Initiatives - Impact Investors - Bilateral and multilateral donor agencies)

  • Build long-term, trust-based partnerships with national and international donors and partners
  • Represent EBDA in relevant meetings, conferences, and strategic forums

Grant Acquisition & Proposal Development

  • Lead and coordinate grant acquisition processes
  • Oversee concept notes, full proposals, and donor budgets in close collaboration with
  • technical teams
  • Ensure high-quality, timely submissions aligned with donor requirements

Donor Stewardship & Reporting Coordination

  • Oversee donor stewardship and relationship management
  • Coordinate donor reporting with project and finance teams
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and donor obligations

Innovation & New Funding Streams

  • Explore and develop innovative funding mechanisms, including: (Clima

    te finance and carbon-related revenues - Mutually beneficial innovative relationships with Corporate partners - Payment for Ecosystem Services)

    • Support the positioning and fundraising of EBDA's Economy of Love initiative

    Required Qualifications & Experience

    • Minimum 7+ of experience in fundraising including at least 3 years in
    • FR/development/resources mobilization
    • Proven track record in securing funding from international donors and partners
    • Strong understanding of NGO, non-profit and social enterprise funding landscapes
    • Excellent proposal writing, verbal and written communication, and negotiation skills
    • Strategic mindset with strong operational execution
    • Experience working in sustainability, agriculture, climate, or rural development is a strong

    asset

    • Fluency in English (Arabic is a strong advantage)
