Job Description

About the role:

Work with Regulatory authorities and with other relevant government departments to follow their guidelines & compliance with company's HSE policies and operational procedures to improve the city's security and service quality to control and apply rules and regulations in the city.

carry out the day-to-day operations of the HSE department and contribute to the application of effective Health, Safety, and Environmental management system in company.

Key Responsibility

  • Carry out the day-to-day operations of the HSE department and contribute to the application of effective Health, Safety, and Environment management system by providing technical support.
  • Supervise team members in compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety, and Environmental management.
  • Report all incidents related to Occupational Health and Environmental Safety. Proper maintenance of relevant HSE logs and all documents for inspections and audits.
  • Ensure all activities meet and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal requirements,
  • environment policies & general duty of care.
  • Participate in detailed incident investigations and Root cause Analysis, observe HSE regulations on safety equipment, and PPE, encourage safe working practices, correct obvious hazards immediately or report them to the concerned individual.
  • Supervise team to conduct HSE weekly inspections. Inspect emergency equipment, Maintain emergency response procedures on-site, issue action plans, and monitor execution.
  • Ensure all work is carried out by the HSE team in compliance with the CWRC Operations Manual. Adhere to the company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate the company policy & procedures to all staff in the location. Conduct a mock drill for all residents and staff.
  • Carry out onsite HSE training as per the training matrix and plan. Conduct the toolbox talk related to the site activities in terms of HSE.
  • Maintain, update, and train the HSE team, Crisis management team, and Environment protection team onsite.
  • Develop update, implement, and manage HSE programs, Policies, and Procedures.
  • Have knowledge and enforce compliance with Regulatory requirements.
  • (i.e. OSHA, IOSH, etc.) including company HSE policies & procedures.
  • Ability to oversee Hazardous Waste Storage area and ensure regulatory agency compliance i.e. Labelling, containment, proper disposal documentation, etc.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager.
  • Coordinate activities of Quality, Health Safety, and environment at the location. Monitor all utility-related actions (Gas, Water, Electricity and Wastewater).

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • IOSH Certified, OSHAD Certified, NEBOSH IGC Certified
  • (Occupational Safety & Health Abu Dhabi)
  • Languages Hindi, English, Arabic is plus

Experience:

  • Minimum five years of experience in HSE Role
  • Managing and improving HSE management system in accordance with UAE legislative requirements
  • Certified first aider.
  • Certified fire warden
