Role Overview

The HSE Supervisor will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in alignment with local and international standards. The role ensures compliance with regulations, fosters a safe workplace culture, and drives continuous improvement in occupational health, safety, and environmental performance across production and packaging facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local and international standards.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Lead and document incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Deliver HSE training and awareness programs to employees at all levels to build a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with NEBOSH OHSAS , ISO 45000, and other relevant standards.
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance, including waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and corrective actions for internal and external audits.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training activities.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture by engaging employees in safety initiatives and awareness campaigns.
  • Support management in the implementation of environmental sustainability programs and initiatives.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure timely submission of required documentation and reports.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE best practices into daily operations.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety and environmental performance.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven HSE experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment FMCG industry experience is a preferred .
  • Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Awareness and hands on experience with ISO systems 45001,14001 and OHSAS NEBOSH compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability in risk assessments, safety audits, and accident/incident investigations.
  • Excellent communication and training skills to engage employees across all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in preparing HSE reports, documentation, and presentations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced industrial environment.
  • Certified as Specialist from the authorised National Center for Occupational Safety and Health
  • Attention to detail with a proactive, results-oriented approach.
