Job Title: Help Desk Specialist (2 Positions)

We are hiring two full-time Help Desk Resident Engineers to provide proactive end-user support, technical troubleshooting, and operational assistance within our client's environment.

Role Overview

The Help Desk Engineer will act as the primary support contact for end users, ensuring seamless operation of IT systems, applications, hardware, and cloud services. The role requires strong problem solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and adherence to ITIL-based processes.

Key Responsibilities

End-User & Cloud Support

Respond to user inquiries and resolve basic IT issues, escalate advanced or recurring incidents.

Assist users with daily tasks, onboarding, initial training, and access management.

Monitor cloud platform and system health dashboards, responding to alerts.

Document and escalate recurring issues to upper support teams.

Software Installation & System Setup

Install and configure Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Configure email accounts and troubleshoot Outlook-related errors.

Install, upgrade, and configure Windows operating systems, policies, security patches, and standard applications.

Build and maintain standard OS images for PCs and laptops.

Install additional approved applications as requested by users.

First-Level Software Troubleshooting

Resolve Microsoft Office issues including configuration, repair, and reinstallation.

Handle login/authentication failures by adjusting OS settings or repairing configurations.

Fix browsing issues and restore browser settings and plugins.

Perform antivirus definition updates, repairs, and basic malware removal.

Hardware Installation & Support

Deploy and configure new PCs, laptops, thin clients, docking stations, support IT asset relocations.

Conduct device checks and recommend replacements.

Install and configure printers, scanners, and drivers; replace printer ink.

Diagnose and resolve basic hardware faults and peripheral issues.

General IT Support Activities

Conduct workplace surveys covering assets, applications, and user environments.

Follow ITIL policies and procedures for incident, request, and change management.

Prepare reports on support calls, tickets, and recurring problems.

Provide VIP support to senior executives.

Troubleshoot basic network, connectivity, and server access issues.

Install and configure OS and day-to-day software packages.

Perform data backup and disaster recovery support.

Maintain complete hardware and software inventory documentation.

Replace faulty components and escalate advanced hardware issues when required.

Apply OS disk partitioning knowledge including NTFS/FAT.

Support printers, peripherals, and related devices.

Participate in technical tasks and support activities for ongoing IT projects.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

ITIL V4 Foundation certification.

Experience in desktop troubleshooting (hardware & software).

Experience supporting cloud-based environments (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS).

Associate-level certification on any public cloud is preferred.

Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).

Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work onsite, independently, and in a fast-paced support environment.

Saudi Nationals strongly preferred.
