Role Description The Hospital Director at Baz Media will serve as a subject-matter expert and strategic advisor on healthcare and hospital-related topics for the platform. This part-time, remote role involves overseeing the accuracy and integrity of medical and operational content, providing guidance on hospital management practices, and collaborating with editorial teams to shape health-focused series and features. The Hospital Director will review and validate information related to clinical practices, patient care standards, and health policies, while offering insight into hospital operations, budgeting considerations, and service delivery models. The role includes contributing to internal training for staff on healthcare systems, supporting audience-facing initiatives such as expert interviews or explanatory pieces, and ensuring that all health-related content aligns with ethical and regulatory expectations.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Medicine, with the ability to interpret and communicate clinical and healthcare information accurately.
- Proficiency in Operations Management to advise on hospital workflows, resource allocation, and process improvement.
- Experience with Budgeting in healthcare or hospital settings, including cost management and financial planning.
- Background in Customer Service and patient experience, with a focus on quality care and stakeholder communication.
- Experience in Training, mentoring, or educating teams on healthcare topics and hospital operations.
- Advanced degree in Medicine, Health Administration, Public Health, or a related field preferred.
- Prior leadership experience in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare organization is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time hours effectively, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort engaging in public-facing explanations or interviews.
- Familiarity with digital media, health communication, or medical journalism is an advantage.
