Role Description

The Hostess role at MYA Restaurant & Lounge is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. The Hostess is responsible for greeting guests warmly upon arrival, managing the waiting list, and escorting guests to their tables in a professional and welcoming manner. Daily tasks include handling reservations, answering phone inquiries, coordinating seating plans with the service team, and maintaining an organized host stand. The role also involves providing accurate information about the venue and menu, addressing guest requests, and ensuring a smooth flow of guests throughout the dining and lounge areas. The Hostess works closely with colleagues to uphold MYA's high standards of service and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to create a welcoming and positive guest experience.
• Effective Communication and Phone Etiquette skills for managing inquiries, confirmations, and guest interactions.
• Experience handling Reservations and basic seating management systems or reservation platforms.
• Professional appearance, punctuality, and the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Previous front-of-house or hospitality experience in upscale dining or lounge settings is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages commonly spoken in Dubai are an advantage.
