Job Summary
The Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness, orderliness and adequacy of supplies and amenities in the guestrooms, public areas, work area and equipment in accordance with the standards, guidelines & policies established by Shangri-La Hotel.
As a Housekeeping Room Attendant, we rely on you to,
- Cleans a minimum of 15 rooms per 8-hour shift, according to procedures.
- Prepares rooms that are blocked for occupancy, prioritizing as instructed.
- Does turndown service, observing established procedures and standards.
- Immediately reports loss or damage of linen, furniture, fixture, or equipment to concerned areas for action. Follows through on action, as may be needed.
- Transfers furniture and fixture as and when needed.
- Per established cleaning schedules, implements carpet and furniture shampooing using appropriate chemicals and cleaning agents; closely always adheres to proper chemical handling procedures.
- Washes windows, walls, and ceilings, by properly observing procedures and standards for both cleanliness and safety.
- On a daily basis, checks light fixtures of assigned restrooms and lockers for cleanliness and condition.
- Cleans walls, mirrors, lighting according to cleanliness and hygiene standards and procedures.
- Cleans and scrubs sinks, toilet bowls, urinals and properly observes cleanliness/hygiene standards.
What We Are Looking For
- Has previous experience as a room attendant in a five-star hotel.
- Physically fit
- Willing to work on extended duty hours.
