Euro Mechanical is looking for an HSE Engineer to join its HSE team. The role will support the implementation, monitoring, and auditing of the Occupational Health, Safety & Environment (OHSE) Management System across the company and its business units, ensuring strong compliance and safe execution across sites and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, monitor, and audit the OHSE Management System, Safe Work Instructions (SWIs), and site HSE plans across Euro Mechanical locations.
- Support HSE Team Lead/Senior HSE Engineer and Technical Manager in strategic HSE planning, including objectives/targets, annual HSE plan, and budget inputs.
- Lead and guide HSE Officers; provide field supervision to identify unsafe acts/conditions and drive corrective actions and safe behaviors.
- Develop and manage project HSE documentation and assurance activities (HSE Plan, ERPs, risk assessments, pre-mobilisation & pre-execution audits, trackers, training records).
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company standards; conduct inspections, internal audits, incident investigations (RCA), and implement preventive measures.
- Coordinate and oversee contractor/consultant HSE scope including waste management, firefighting systems, and third-party auditing agencies; support proposals/estimations and HSE pre-qualifications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Safety or Engineering
- Experience: 810 years in HSE within Oil & Gas / Petrochemical construction, fabrication, installation, commissioning or operations (including at least 5+ years in occupational health & safety / energy industry).
- Project exposure: Mandatory Onshore & Offshore experience across short-term, long-term, and turnaround projects.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage HSE teams (HSE Officers/Advisors, Hygiene Officers, etc.) and influence safe behaviors.
- Technical & compliance: Strong knowledge of HSE Management Systems, HSE legislation, and EPC HSE practices/behavioral safety, with practical SSOW implementation (PTW/WMS/Risk Assessments).
- Core competencies: Capable of preparing/implementing HSE Plans, Welfare Plans, ERPs, delivering HSE training/awareness, conducting audits/inspections, incident investigations (RCA), and risk studies (TRA, HAZID, HAZOP, PSSR, HSEIA); strong English (Arabic is a plus) and MS Office/presentation skills.
