The HSE Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities are carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. The role involves monitoring site operations, enforcing safety standards, conducting inspections, and promoting a strong safety culture across the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with HSE policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor civil construction activities to identify potential hazards and ensure safe work practices.
- Ensure proper implementation of permit-to-work systems, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings to promote safety awareness among workers.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment across the site.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
- Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, company safety policies, and project HSE plans.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering / Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
- NEBOSH / IOSH certification preferred.
- 35 years of HSE experience in civil construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of UAE safety regulations and construction safety practices.
- Excellent observation, reporting, and communication skills.
- Ability to enforce safety standards while maintaining good coordination with site teams.
