Job Description

Our client, a large and well-established organisation in Abu Dhabi, is hiring an HR Manager to support day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle, with a key pillar of responsibility being payroll oversight and governance. You'll partner closely with Finance, Internal Audit, Shared Services/outsourced providers and business leaders to ensure HR processes are consistent, responsive, and well-controlled.

Key focus areas:

  • HR operations & employee lifecycle: ensuring HR changes (new hires, exits, promotions, transfers), leave, benefits, and time & attendance inputs are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Payroll oversight (governance, not processing): owning validations, approvals, reconciliations, exception management, and resolving escalations with stakeholders.
  • Process improvement & systems: improving controls and efficiency through standardisation, automation, and supporting HRIS/payroll upgrades and UAT.

Requirements

  • 15+ years progressive HR experience, with broad HR operations exposure and strong payroll governance/oversight experience in a large organisation.
  • Strong working knowledge of UAE HR/payroll practices (WPS understanding is an advantage)
  • Confident partnering with Finance, Internal Audit, and external vendors/shared services.
  • Strong HRIS/payroll systems capability (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, Workday, SAP/Oracle payroll or similar)
  • Detail-oriented, controls-first, and able to work to strict cut-offs while managing stakeholders confidently
