The Role
As a Humanities Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging Humanities lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 where appropriate.
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the English National Curriculum.
- Inspire students through creative, challenging and thought-provoking learning experiences.
- Develop students understanding of historical events, geographical concepts and global issues.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where all students can succeed.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and extracurricular opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have:
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd or equivalent) with QTS or equivalent.
- A degree in Humanities, History, Geography or a closely related subject.
- Experience teaching within the English National Curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A passion for inspiring students and developing their understanding of the wider world.
- A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous professional development.
