Humanities Teacher – Qatar

ECTs Welcome | Start Date: September 2026

Are you a passionate and engaging Humanities Teacher looking to take the next step in your teaching career overseas We are working with a highly regarded British international school in Qatar that is seeking an enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join its successful secondary department from September 2026. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

The Role

As a Humanities Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging Humanities lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 where appropriate.
  • Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the English National Curriculum.
  • Inspire students through creative, challenging and thought-provoking learning experiences.
  • Develop students understanding of historical events, geographical concepts and global issues.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where all students can succeed.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and extracurricular opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate

You will have:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd or equivalent) with QTS or equivalent.
  • A degree in Humanities, History, Geography or a closely related subject.
  • Experience teaching within the English National Curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A passion for inspiring students and developing their understanding of the wider world.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous professional development.
