Job Summary
The HVAC & Refrigeration Technician / AC Technician is responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of
HVAC, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operation of facilities. The role requires hands-on technical expertise and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, split ACs, package units, chillers, FCUs, AHUs, and refrigeration units.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of AC and refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose system faults, leaks, electrical issues, and mechanical failures.
- Carry out gas charging, vacuuming, and pressure testing.
- Ensure proper functioning of compressors, condensers, evaporators, and controls.
- Read and interpret HVAC drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Maintain service records, maintenance logs, and inspection reports.
- Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with company SOPs and local regulations.
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanical, or relevant trade.
- Technical certification in HVAC/Refrigeration is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 25 years of experience as HVAC / Refrigeration / AC Technician.
- Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or facility management projects preferred.
- GCC experience is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Knowledge of refrigerants, tools, and safety practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
