Job Description

ICE SKATING COACH:

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual and group skating lessons for beginners to advanced skaters.
  • Teach fundamental skills such as balance, gliding, stopping, turning, and basic jumps/spins.
  • Develop structured training plans tailored to each skater's ability and goals.
  • Demonstrate proper techniques and ensure students follow safety guidelines.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ensure all equipment and training areas meet safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, students, and management regarding schedules and progress.
  • Stay updated on modern coaching techniques and skating trends.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience as an ice skating coach, instructor, or competitive skater.
  • Strong knowledge of skating techniques, safety practices, and training methods.
  • Certification from a recognized skating federation (preferred but not always required).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with children, teens, and adults.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching.
  • First Aid/CPR certification is an advantage.

Work Environment

  • Indoor ice rink setting.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays depending on class schedules.

ICE SKATING MARSHALL:

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor designated areas to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with facility rules.
  • Guide and assist visitors, guests, or participants as needed.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or safety concerns.
  • Support crowd control during busy periods, events, or special activities.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment, facilities, and public areas.
  • Coordinate with security, management, and other staff to maintain smooth operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in customer service, security, or facility operations (preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Good physical fitness and alertness.
  • Basic knowledge of safety procedures and emergency response.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Work Environment

  • Indoor or outdoor settings depending on the facility (mall, rink, event venue, sports center, etc.).
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
