Position: IFRS Accountant
Duration: 12 months
Location: Doha, Qatar (Onsite)
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years
- Industry Experience: Oil & Gas experience is a plus
Skills and Attributes for Success:
- Strong working knowledge of complex IFRS accounting areas, particularly consolidation, joint arrangements, asset retirement obligations, and leases.
- Proven experience in handling technical accounting issues within large or complex organizations, preferably in project-based or asset-intensive industries.
- High level of analytical thinking with the ability to apply accounting standards to real-world business scenarios.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate outputs under tight timelines.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex accounting matters to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) is highly desirable
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, or a related finance role.
