Role Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and dynamic, In-Licensing Business Development personnel who will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing licensing opportunities for pharmaceutical products aligned with the company's strategic growth in target markets: CIS, Africa, South East Asia and GCC Region. This role involves managing partnerships with global manufacturers, negotiating in-licensing agreements, and ensuring a successful integration of new products into the company's portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Opportunity Sourcing & Market Scanning
* Identify and evaluate potential in-licensing opportunities in therapeutic areas of strategic interest.
* Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and pipeline products in global markets.
* Conduct regular product gap analyses for CIS, French West Africa, Malaysia, and UAE to define licensing priorities.
Partner Identification & Relationship Management
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with global pharmaceutical manufacturers and licensors.
* Lead initial outreach, due diligence, and follow-up communications with potential partners.
* Represent the company in international BD forums, conferences, and licensing meetings.
Technical & Commercial Evaluation
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Regulatory, Marketing, Finance, and Medical) to assess technical feasibility and commercial viability of in-licensing proposals.
* Collect and interpret market data to estimate sales potential and forecast profitability.
* Evaluate registration status, regulatory pathways, and IP position of target products.
Contracting & Negotiation
* Drive negotiation of in-licensing contracts including term sheets, LOIs, and definitive agreements.
* Coordinate with legal teams to ensure contractual compliance and risk mitigation.
* Ensure business terms align with internal financial and strategic objectives.
Onboarding & Commercial Launch Support
* Coordinate with regulatory and supply chain teams for successful onboarding of licensed products.
* Support marketing team in launch preparation: positioning, branding, and pricing strategy.
* Ensure smooth knowledge transfer from licensors to internal departments (e.g., medical, quality).
Cross-Regional Coordination
* Customize licensing strategies to address regulatory, cultural, and commercial realities of CIS, French West Africa, Malaysia, and UAE.
* Maintain updated dashboards of regional licensing priorities and pipeline status.
* Serve as a liaison between global licensors and regional sales & regulatory teams.
Reporting & Strategic Planning
* Provide regular reports on pipeline status, negotiations progress, and market insights.
* Contribute to strategic planning and annual business reviews with BD leadership.
* Maintain updated database of all licensing discussions and contractual obligations.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
* Willingness to learn sales techniques, understand targets and ability to explain ideas or products clearly.
* Understanding client needs, basic persuasion
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
* Willingness to travel internationally for partner engagement and conferences.
