Schneider Electric's Indirect Procurement team tackles fundamental business issues such as controlling costs, managing risk and improving service - every day. Indirect Procurement expenditures account for nearly one quarter of total company revenue.
Schneider Electric's Indirect Procurement team is currently seeking Indirect Procurement Region Middle East Africa Manager candidate with a passion for the industry and a strong interest in developing strategic sourcing competencies while solving complex operational issues.
Responsibilities:
Responsible to perform indirect (non-production) vendor strategic sourcing productivity actions in support of MEA strategic priorities. Deliver minimum of 5% savings for assigned scope, which positively impact SE's bottom line.
Responsible to lead a large team located in MEA zone, in more than 10 countries. Manage the hiring process & support the skills / competency development of the team in a changing world.
Reports to International Indirect Procurement director.
Located in Dubai or Cairo (Egypt)
Ability to communicate in excellent English verbal and written
Conduct regional spend analysis, supplier market research, build RFP/RFI/RFQ in English
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and pursue productivity actions
Develop competitive bidding packages and launch RFI/RFQ/RFP
Negotiate with vendors (MSAs, SOWs etc) in collaboration with legal.
Drive compliance to global/regional category strategies, and to recommended vendors
Build close working relationships with stakeholders in Europe
Manage supplier performance, including but not limited to supplier business reviews, managing escalations, etc
Influence and Propose changes in front of diverse regional stakeholders to optimize and reduce our spend
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, IT, Engineering from an accredited college/university
Strong verbal and written communications skills in English, additional language is welcomed
Relevant work experience or exposure to procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or IT at global companies.
Prior experiences to strategically source non-production spend categories such as IS/Telecom, HR/Professional services/Consulting, Facility Service/MRO/Temp Labor, Transportation Logistics, Travel, Fleet and Marketing.
Experience in developing and managing Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quotation (RFQ), and Request for Proposal (RFP)
Strong vendor negotiates skills in English (commercial terms, SLA, t's and c's)
Strategic mindset. Attention to details. Comfortable with digital tools
Drive for results, effective planning / prioritization, project management and multi-tasking. Self-directed
Strong leadership and communication competencies in English
