The AI Agent for Finance Automation will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing intelligent automation workflows to optimize financial operations, reporting, and decision-making. This role combines deep understanding of finance processes with expertise in AI, RPA (Robotic Process Automation), and data analytics tools to streamline repetitive tasks, improve accuracy, and accelerate insights.
Responsibilities include-
1. Process Automation
- Identify repetitive and manual finance workflows suitable for automation (e.g., accounts payable, reconciliation, expense processing, budgeting inputs).
- Build and deploy automation scripts using AI and workflow tools (e.g., Power Automate, UiPath, Python, or OpenAI APIs).
- Integrate ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Tally, etc.) with automation pipelines for data fetching and processing.
- Implement automated invoice extraction, categorization, and approval routing using AI-driven OCR and NLP models.
2. Financial Reporting Automation
- Create dynamic dashboards and automated reports in Power BI, Tableau, or Excel with AI integration.
- Build scheduled report-generation systems (e.g., daily cash flow, P&L, balance sheet variance reports, AR/AP summaries).
- Automate consolidation of data from multiple sources such as banks, ERP systems, and internal ledgers.
- Develop anomaly detection models for expense irregularities or fraud prevention.
3. Data Integration & Intelligence
- Build data pipelines to fetch and structure financial data from APIs, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Design intelligent systems that understand and classify financial data automatically.
- Implement AI agents that respond to natural language queries (e.g., Show me yesterday's cash position or What's the variance vs budget).
4. Compliance & Audit Support
- Automate compliance checks (e.g., tax calculations, VAT validation, and payment approvals).
- Maintain audit trails for automated processes and ensure accuracy in all data transformations.
- Ensure adherence to company financial policies and data governance standards.
5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Continuously monitor automated workflows for optimization and accuracy improvements.
- Evaluate new AI tools, APIs, and plugins that can improve reporting speed and insights.
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, and Data teams to develop AI-first finance systems.
Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills
- Strong command of AI automation tools: Power Automate, UiPath, Zapier, or Make (Integromat).
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Excel Macros/VBA for custom automation scripts.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio.
- Familiarity with OCR/NLP tools for invoice or document automation (e.g., Azure AI, OpenAI, Amazon Textract).
- Understanding of API integrations (banking APIs, ERP APIs, payment gateways).
Finance Domain Knowledge
- Deep understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Experience with financial closing, budgeting, and forecasting cycles.
- Knowledge of tax compliance and internal audit requirements.

- Certification in Power Automate, UiPath, or data visualization tools is an advantage.
