About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Manager to lead our technology initiatives and to optimize our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing IT teams and projects, ensuring that technology solutions align with business goals. This role involves overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems, while also being responsible for cybersecurity, data management, and compliance with industry standards. As an IT Manager, you will collaborate with various departments to enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation through technology.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the IT department, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of IT staff.
- Develop and implement IT strategies that support the company's goals and objectives.
- Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud services, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Collaborate with creative designers of innovative solutions to identify technology needs and provide solutions that achieve objectives.
- Manage IT budgets and allocate resources effectively to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Monitor and analyze IT performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Stay current with technological advancements and industry trends to ensure the company remains competitive.
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure minimal disruption in case of IT failures.
- Provide technical support and guidance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Applications, or any relevant field
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience (backend or full-stack)
- Proven track record as a Tech Lead / Senior Engineer managing small teams and outsourced/remote developers.
Skills
An ideal candidate would have the following:
- Hands-on coding expertise in:
- Node.js (TypeScript) backend services
- React / React Native web and mobile apps
- PostgreSQL relational database management
- AWS cloud infrastructure, deployment, and scaling
- Strong system design and architecture skills, with the ability to document and communicate complex systems.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies, backlog management, and sprint execution
- Excellent communication skills, able to bridge sales, product, and engineering teams
- Passion for building scalable, high-quality Systems.
