Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager – Consultant to manage, coordinate, and monitor a portfolio of IT projects from initiation through closure. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic objectives, while maintaining strong governance, stakeholder engagement, and risk control.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in banking and financial services IT projects, with proven expertise in project delivery, vendor management, and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Delivery & Governance

  • Manage a portfolio of IT projects in alignment with organizational project management methodologies
  • Ensure successful execution based on defined goals, timelines, and quality standards
  • Monitor project performance and ensure alignment with strategic plans

2. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments and business units
  • Manage vendor engagements and ensure contractual obligations are met
  • Coordinate across IT teams to ensure smooth project execution

3. Communication & Reporting

  • Communicate project updates, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management
  • Prepare and maintain:
  • Project initiation documents
  • Status reports
  • Closure reports
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting across all project phases

4. Risk, Issue & Compliance Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
  • Manage scope changes and minimize risk exposure
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and security standards

5. Team Coordination & Leadership

  • Conduct and participate in project team and client meetings
  • Provide direction and ensure alignment across teams
  • Handle project-related personnel challenges in coordination with HR

6. Technical & Operational Understanding

  • Understand system architecture, integrations, and technical constraints
  • Support decision-making with technical insight
  • Ensure adherence to IT security and data protection policies

7. Audit, Compliance & Confidentiality

  • Provide required information to internal/external auditors and compliance teams
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of sensitive business and project data
  • Adhere to organizational security policies and governance frameworks

8. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Enhance personal and professional development through continuous learning

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in IT project management
  • Strong experience in banking and financial services domain

Certifications

  • Project Management Certification (PMI/PMP) – Mandatory
  • MBA or Master's Degree – Preferred
  • Additional certifications in systems, banking, or management – Advantage
