Position Summary :
Infrastructure Engineer works under Project Delivery organization with primary role to support infrastructure-related project activities from design to implementation. He/she will be responsible for sizing/planning, installation, maintenance, and support for On-Premise and/or Cloud environments. Infrastructures include development, prototyping, testing, training, and production environments as applicable for each project.
The support includes but not limited to virtualization, segmentation, and firewall / security configuration to ensure reliability, security, and optimized life-cycle performance necessary for installed solutions. Also, Infrastructure Engineer is expected to work with cross-functional delivery teams.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Manage, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS).
- Perform patch management, vulnerability assessment, and remediation across servers
- Develop installation manuals.
- Administer and configure firewalls, VPNs, and security policies to protect enterprise networks.
- Manage software deployment and updates
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure high availability and disaster
- recovery readiness.
- Implement and enforce IT security best practices, compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with security and network teams to address threats, alerts, and vulnerabilities
- Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting
- steps.
- Understanding of network protocols, security principles, and server hardening techniques.
- Experience with backup/recovery solutions
- Responsible for maintaining and monitor infrastructure health.
- Responsible for maintaining and update IT security base line documents.
- Responsible for setting up Production, Development and QA environments.
Qualifications & Requirements :
- Academic: Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or similar field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 Years experience involving infrastructure design and deployment for complex applications.
- Operating Systems:
- Experience in Windows and/or Linux (tools like Ubuntu, Redhat, CentOS, etc.) server OS's.
- Virtualization:
- Experienced in tools such as VMWare / Microsoft HyperV and KVM.
- Experienced in virtualization of network, data centers, and storage management.
