About the Role
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and backup solutions while ensuring high availability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Updating any software and hardware where necessary.
- Monitor and validate backups, troubleshoot incidents, and escalate complex issues when needed.
- Maintain and support virtual servers both on-premises and in the cloud
- Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows/Linux-based environments.
- Support virtualization platforms mainly VMware vSphere environments.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
- Manage and validate backup systems (mainly Veritas Backup).
- Support network and firewall configurations when required.
- Ensure system security, updates, and patch management.
- Manage daily health checks, and resolution of system issues
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in IT Infrastructure or System Administration.
- Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
- Experience with HPE or Dell servers and storage solutions.
- Experience managing backup solutions (Veritas preferred).
- Good knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes
