Job Description

JOB PURPOSE / ROLE:

To Lead and optimize the day-to-day operations of the IT Infrastructure systems to ensure proper implementation of robust and scalable systems that meet SIMAH's business requirements as per the set IT policies, procedures.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Policies, Processes & Procedures

  • Implement the department's policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of IT activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.

Day- to-day operations

  • Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.

IT Systems Development

  • Lead &Participates in the analysis of the business growth, the current IT infrastructure status and the IT development plans, so as to identify the requirements of the systems infrastructure and provide recommendations to build and maintain a scalable and agile IT infrastructure.
  • Lead & supports the design of all related IT infrastructure aspects (hardware, server, storage, desktop) in order to facilitate the efficiency of operations.

IT System Management

  • Lead &controls the efficiency of system applying all the required measures to ensure business continuity.
  • Lead &assess the quality of the storage and servers infrastructure and proposes the implementation or suppression of hardware and data storage equipment, so as to meet the requirements of the business operations.
  • Lead &Proceeds to the execution of the proactive and reactive maintenance of the IT infrastructure and implements all the required improvements and modifications, so as to enable its accurate operation.
  • Lead &Monitors and evaluates the infrastructure's performance identifying and recommending improvements while ensure timely and accurate response to technical issues.
  • Lead &Monitors and controls the implementation of tests at the operating systems and proceeds to any required configuration or change, so as to enhance the efficiency.
  • Lead &performs routine maintenance tasks for infrastructure systems such as backups.
  • Lead &Ensures processes and requirements are met such as backup and maintenance availability.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead in Overseeing the overall IT Infrastructure activities within SIMAH and continuing the progress within the department.

Reporting

  • Ensures that all reports required from SIMAH management are prepared timely and accurately and meet company and function's requirements, policies and standards.

Safety, Quality & Environment

  • Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

Related Assignments

  • Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT engineering or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:

  • 5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure management preferably within a financial environment.

Language:

English: Advanced.

SOFT SKILLS & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems and applications.
  • Very good knowledge of the SIMAH's operations and requirements.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Strong working knowledge on backup, VMware and HCI.
  • In depth understanding of infrastructure components and building highly available computing environment.
