Job Purpose
Supervise and manage all Infrastructure Site Engineer (networks, utilities, and external services) on project site, ensuring construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and HSE regulations. The Senior Site Engineer acts as a key technical reference for all MEP infrastructure installations and supports the Project Manager in achieving project milestones efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the execution of infrastructure works, including potable water, firefighting networks, irrigation, stormwater, sewerage networks.
- Review and verify shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and as-built drawings submitted by contractors.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and client requirements during construction.
- Coordinate closely with civil, architecture, electrical, and mechanical teams to ensure smooth integration of underground and above-ground services.
- Monitor project schedules, manpower, and resources to achieve timely completion of works.
- Conduct regular inspections to verify quality, workmanship, and adherence to approved plans.
- Issue site instructions, NCRs, and technical reports to contractors as needed.
- Participate in technical and coordination meetings with the client, contractors, and consultants.
- Support the Project Manager in reviewing progress reports, variation claims, and contractor invoices.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies during all construction activities.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of infrastructure systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 8 - 12 years of experience in MEP infrastructure site supervision, preferably in large-scale mixed-use, industrial, or coastal development projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of infrastructure MEP systems: water, sewage, irrigation, stormwater, firefighting networks.
- Experience in inspection, testing, and commissioning of utility systems.
- Familiarity with international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, BS, ASTM, IPC, Local Code) and local authority regulations.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project scheduling tools (Primavera / MS Project).
- Excellent communication and coordination skills in English and Arabic.
