This role is responsible for securing IT infrastructure and enhancing and upgrading current systems and introduce new systems as needed. Also, is responsible for, Investigating, diagnosing and resolving network related issues, along with recommendations for improvement.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Analyse, evaluate and monitor network infrastructure to ensure networks are configured to operate at optimal performance
Design networks with solutions that cover all the bases in a modern enterprise class network Performing overall network management for investors, including Servers, LAN, WAN and ensuring 24X7 availability
Ensure timely diagnosis and resolution of network related issues
Ensure that network & security housekeeping procedures and system backups are complying to the prescribed standards and internal policies
Ensure timely replacement of network components on break-downs or expiry
Monitor the performance of the networks and providing weekly performance reports.
Test and check the system for weaknesses in software and hardware
Maintain firewalls, virtual private networks, web protocols, and email security.
Configure and install security infrastructure devices.
Develop tracking documents to note system vulnerabilities.
Implement regulatory systems in accordance with IT security.
Modify the technical, legal, and regulatory aspects of the system security.
Occasionally replace the security system protocol and architecture.
Maintain switches and servers.
Manage network security through daily monitoring of threats and vulnerabilities and implementation of security configuration and firewall policy
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent.
Certifications of CCNP/MCSA-MCSE and other relevant areas is preferred
3-5 years experience, preferably in a similar industry.
