Job Purpose
The Instructor plays a key frontline role across The Red Sea destination, responsible for delivering safe, engaging, and memorable inland adventure experiences under the Akun Adventure portfolio. The role supports the ongoing development of a diverse network of trails and adventure activities, ensuring exceptional guest experiences aligned with Red Sea Sport & Entertainment standards.
The Instructor works collaboratively with senior instructors, operations teams, resort colleagues, and guests, leading adventure activities while upholding the highest levels of safety, environmental stewardship, and customer service. This position is central to showcasing the destination's natural landscape while delivering world-class adventure programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and support the operation of all inland, land-based adventure activities across The Red Sea destination.
- Lead guests on Akun Adventure experiences, ensuring safety, engagement, and a premium, memorable outdoor experience.
- Conduct clear and professional pre-activity briefings, including safety instructions, risk awareness, and experience expectations.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols, SOPs, RAMS, and emergency procedures during all activities.
- Educate guests on environmental awareness, conservation principles, and responsible outdoor behavior in line with RSSE sustainability values.
- Maintain a professional, welcoming, and service-oriented approach when interacting with guests at all times.
- Monitor weather conditions, terrain, and guest capability, adjusting activity plans to ensure safety and experience quality.
- Assist with trail exploration and assessment to identify optimal routes that deliver high-end and safe adventure experiences.
- Support trip planning, logistics, equipment preparation, and vehicle readiness prior to and during activities.
- Provide feedback, operational insights, and incident reports to the Senior Instructor and RSSE management as required.
- Support the maintenance and care of all adventure equipment, ensuring cleanliness, readiness, and compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in the training, mentoring, and development of Adventure Specialists and junior team members.
- Promote and embody the unique Red Sea service style, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality guest experiences.
- Maintain positive and professional conduct with guests, colleagues, and stakeholders in all circumstances.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Reporting
- Comply with all RSSE and Red Sea Global policies, processes, SOPs, and operational guidelines to ensure consistent and controlled service delivery.
- Support the preparation of accurate and timely operational reports and MIS data in line with corporate and departmental requirements.
Safety, Quality & Environment
- Apply safety, quality, and environmental management policies to ensure employee and guest safety, regulatory compliance, service excellence, and responsible environmental practices.
- Actively contribute to a strong safety culture by identifying hazards, reporting risks, and supporting continuous risk mitigation.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across adventure operations, systems, and guest experiences, aligned with international best practices and operational excellence.

Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid Wilderness First Aid or internationally recognized First Aid certification.
- Basic Land Navigation training, including natural navigation and GPS usage.
- Leave No Trace certification or equivalent environmental training.
- Search, Tracking & Operations training.
- Trekking / Mountain Leader certification (IFMGA, UIAA, or BMC preferred).
- Additional National Governing Body (NGB) certifications from accredited providers (e.g., Mountain Biking, Climbing, Archery, High Ropes, Quad Biking).
- Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years experience within the tourism, adventure, or outdoor recreation industry; experience in Saudi Arabia is an advantage.
