Client is looking Instrument Designer
Project Type: Oil & gas, petrochemical, power plant, refinery, water treatment, or manufacturing facilities
Location: Jubail, Saudi Arabia
Requirements/Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering discipline.
- 5–10 years experience in Instrumentation Engineering/Design (oil & gas/petrochemical/industrial).
- Instrument Designer experienced in brownfield work, MOC and as-built deliverables.
- Must be knowledgeable in Microstation and Smart Instrumentation.
- Intermediate knowledge of Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) representation; has the ability to recognize/resolve problems associated with control systems representation on P&ID
- Proficiency in fire risk assessments, HAZOP/HAZID, and escape route planning
Responsibilities:
- Develop or reflect redline mark-ups for instrumentation deliverables using MicroStation or Smart Instrumentation (SI/SPI) with less supervision.
- Check the existing documentation in Smart Plant Foundation (SPF) and compare with the received deliverables from Contractors
- Prepare/Review instrument design deliverables
- Review P&IDs, instrument index, datasheets, and control system architecture.
- Support brownfield project execution: field verification, redlines, MOC updates and as-built closeout.
- Coordinate with discipline leads, document controller and other collaborators to meet schedule and quality requirements.
- Check work done by other Designers.
- Attend/site visits as needed for verification and resolution of data/document gaps.
