Job Summary
To Carries out preventive and breakdown maintenance of all instruments, PLC's and Scada systems in compliance with the Work Order system in most efficient duration to ensure minimal downtime. Respond to faults and failures reported in plants through the work order system; Visit sites to inspect, trouble shoot and correct the fault. Perform prescribed standard tests to ensure that the equipment in the plant is operating properly according to established specifications in coordination with Operations. Tests and repairs instrumentation systems to ensure adherence to established performance levels.
Job Responsibilities
Corrective Maintenance
- Respond to faults and failures reported in plants (Instrument) through the work order system; Visit sites to inspect, trouble shoot and correct the fault.
- Perform prescribed standard tests to ensure that the equipment (Instrument) in the plant is operating properly.
- Identify and utilize proper spare parts to ensure equipment operation especially during emergencies.
- Response to faults and failures is prompt; maintenance work is carried out effectively with minimum downtime.
- Timely report submission and CMMS updating.
Preventive Maintenance
- Perform preventive maintenance on instrumentation & control panels according to established schedule and maintenance cycle. Conduct standard tests such as signal testing, flashing line, visual checking, function test & retightening action to repair or replace parts as needed.
- Refer major maintenance requirements to the supervisorin order to schedule corrective maintenance within the suggested / accepted timeframe.
- Preventive maintenance is carried out safely and effectively according to established plan.
- Timely report submission and CMMS updating.
Relocation & Installation:
- Relocation & addition of new f Instruments to ensure site requirements are met.
- Data Installation in the relocated instrument s to ensure proper working.
- Commissioning of the instruments are installation to ensure proper functioning.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/ITI in Instrumentation Engineering / Instrumentation & Control
Experience:
- 2 3 years of experience in Instrumentation and associated equipment Maintenance.
Skills:
- Good level of understanding English and ability to express self.
- Expertise in Instrument system.
- Full knowledge of Industrial Safety standards.
