Job Title: Integration Engineer

Location: TR-Abu Dhabi and sites based in GCC during projects
Job Summary
The Integration Engineer is responsible for enabling seamless data and workflow integration between manufacturing systems, enterprise applications, and plant-level automation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science with hands-on experience in system integration, preferably using tools like BizTalk.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain integrations between manufacturing systems (MES, LIMS, CMMS, DCS, SCADA) and enterprise systems (ERP, SAP, cloud platforms)
- Understand plant workflows in refining or oil & gas and translate them into integration logic
- Work with OT systems like PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and historians (PI, IP.21, PHD) to enable secure and structured data flow
- Develop API-based interfaces and messaging workflows using tools such as BizTalk, MuleSoft, or Azure Integration Services
- Implement and maintain data mappings, transformation logic, and message routing between systems
- Create interface control documents, test cases, and sequence diagrams for integration scenarios
- Ensure system integration follows standards such as ISA-95, B2MML, OPC UA, and ISA-8
- Collaborate with control systems, IT, and business teams for alignment on architecture and data governance
- Perform system and integration testing, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
- Monitor and troubleshoot integration failures; ensure high availability and reliability of interface
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, etc. with strong coding/integration skills
- 4+ years of experience in system integration
- Experience with BizTalk Server, or equivalent integration platforms (MuleSoft, Azure Integration, Boomi)
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as OPC (UA/DA), MQTT, REST/SOAP, and industrial data formats (XML, JSON)
- Exposure to SAP modules like PM, MM, PP, and QM in manufacturing or maintenance contexts
- Working knowledge of process workflows
- Strong scripting or programming background (C#, Python, PowerShell, or equivalent
- Understanding of cybersecurity and network considerations for IT/OT integration
Preferred Skills
- Experience with data contextualization and time-series databases
- Certifications in OPC, Azure Integration, or SAP integration tools are a plus
- ISA 95 knowledge
