The ideal candidate will be creating functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing spaces that meet the specific needs of clients. They achieve this by planning space utilization, selecting materials, colors, and lighting, and ensuring designs comply with regulations and building codes. In essence, interior designers transform indoor environments into comfortable, inviting, and visually appealing spaces.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and team members to understand project goals and design preferences.
- Create mood boards, color palettes, material boards, and floor plans.
- Develop 2D/3D renderings using tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar software.
- Source materials, furniture, and dcor within specified budgets and timelines.
- Conduct site visits for measurements, inspections, and installations as required.
- Coordinate closely with vendors, contractors, and fabricators to execute design plans.
- Contribute to refining internal design processes, documentation standards, and supplier relationships.
- Stay current on design trends, sustainable practices, and local regulatory requirements.
- Participate in client presentations and assist with content creation for social media or marketing initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 36 years of experience in 3D visualization and interior design (including internships or freelance projects).
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, or equivalent.
- Strong creative and communication skills
Software Requirements: 3ds Max with V-Ray or Corona (Autodesk)
