Role Overview

We are looking for a Fit-Out Technical Engineer / Finish Coordinator responsible for finish distribution planning first, followed by accurate quantity take-off and BOQ preparation.

The role focuses on execution accuracy, material mapping, and quantity control for projects using imported materials.

Key Responsibilities

Finish Distribution (Primary Task):

• Prepare finish plans for floors, walls, and ceilings
• Define material locations, zones, patterns, directions, and modules
• Ensure the finished distribution aligns with:
• Approved layouts
• Space function
• Execution constraints
• Develop finish legends and material codes
• Coordinate finish plans with design and site requirements, Quantity Take-Off & BOQ
• Calculate quantities based on approved finish distributions
• Apply appropriate waste allowances according to material type and installation method
• Consider packaging sizes, minimum order quantities, and supplier constraints
• Prepare clear BOQs ready for supplier pricing and overseas procurement

Coordination & Technical Support

• Coordinate with the Design Lead and site team to ensure accuracy
• Support procurement with material quantities and clarifications

Review supplier quantities against drawings to avoid over- or under-ordering

Requirements

• 36 years of experience in fit-out or interior finishing works
• Strong experience in finish distribution & material mapping
• Proven ability in quantity take-off and BOQ preparation
• Solid understanding of interior finishing materials and installation methods
• High proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)
• Detail-oriented, organised, and execution-focused
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Required Software Skills

• Revit and AutoCAD mandatory (finish plans, material mapping, quantities)
• Microsoft Excel mandatory (BOQs, quantity calculations, tracking)
• PDF tools for markups and reviews
• Basic knowledge of 3D software (SketchUp / 3ds Max / Revit)
