Job Description

Title: Growth & Community Intern Hiiba - www.hiiba.ae

Location: UAE - Remote (UAE time zone)

Type: Internship (36 months, part-time or full-time)

Start date: ASAP

Compensation: Internship stipend + potential performance-based bonus

About Hiiba

Hiiba is a mobile app designed to incentivize the reuse of goods and help reduce waste. We're preparing our launch and looking for a hands-on intern to help us build our early adopter community and set up the foundations of our social presence and user support.

The mission

You'll be part of the launch team and will help Hiiba go from almost ready to in the hands of users. This role blends content, community building, and first-line user support once the app is live.

What you'll do

Social media setup & content

  • Set up and optimize Hiiba's social media accounts (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, LinkedInbased on our priorities)
  • Create a simple content calendar and publish consistent posts
  • Draft short-form content (posts, stories, reels concepts) and coordinate basic visuals/templates

Early adopter community

  • Identify and engage early adopters (students, eco-conscious communities, expat groups, local communities)
  • Help run community initiatives (waitlist, ambassador program, referral ideas, small challenges)
  • Collect feedback and insights from the community and share weekly learnings with the founders

User support (post-release)

  • Answer first-level user questions (DMs, comments, in-app/email FAQs depending on our setup)
  • Track recurring issues/requests and propose improvements to onboarding + FAQ
  • Escalate bugs and sensitive cases to the founders/product team with clear context

What we're looking for
  • University student (Bachelor's or Master's)
  • Comfortable writing in English (Arabic is a plus)
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful tone with users
  • Organized and reliable: you can manage a content calendar + follow up on community threads
  • Interest in startups, community building, sustainability, and consumer apps
  • Bonus: basic Canva skills, short-form video familiarity, or prior community/moderation experience
