Inventory Controller F&B Industry

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized, trustworthy, and hardworking Inventory Controller with strong experience in the Food & Beverage industry to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory operations across the production kitchen and branches, ensuring accurate stock control, proper inventory movement, and maintaining organized records to support smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and manage inventory levels for all food items, raw materials, packaging, and supplies.

Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory systems and Microsoft Excel.

Control the movement of stock between the central kitchen and branches.

Issue inventory items to kitchen staff and operations teams based on approved requests.

Conduct regular inventory audits and physical stock counts.

Identify, investigate, and report inventory discrepancies or stock variances.

Ensure proper storage procedures and compliance with food safety standards.

Monitor product expiry dates and apply FIFO / FEFO stock rotation systems.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management.

Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure timely stock replenishment.

Maintain proper coding and organization of all inventory items.

Requirements

Minimum 35 years experience in Inventory Control within the F&B industry (restaurants, cafs, or central kitchens).

Strong knowledge of food inventory management and stock control procedures.

Excellent knowledge of FIFO and FEFO stock rotation systems.

Experience managing inventory for multiple branches or central kitchens.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.

Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Ability to detect stock discrepancies and investigate inventory issues.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Personal Qualities

High level of honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness when handling company inventory.

Strong work ethic and hardworking personality with attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Reliable and responsible with a strong sense of accountability.

Preferred

Previous experience working with restaurant chains or caf brands.

Experience working with central kitchens or multi-branch operations.

Knowledge of food cost control and stock consumption analysis.
