Role Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial / Investment Analyst to support our advisory and investment activities. The role focuses on financial modeling, valuation, market research, and investment analysis for startups and SMEs across multiple sectors.
You will play a key role in preparing clients for fundraising, supporting transaction execution, and delivering high-quality insights to investors and decision-makers.
This is a full-time on-site Investment Analyst role located in Cairo. The Investment Analyst will be responsible for conducting financial research, analyzing investment opportunities, developing financial models, and supporting portfolio management efforts. The role includes evaluating market trends, preparing investment reports, and assisting the team in making well-informed financial decisions. This position requires close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Modeling & Valuation
- Build and maintain financial models (3-statement models, forecasts, scenario analysis)
- Perform company valuations using methods such as:
- DCF
- Comparable companies
- Precedent transactions
- Analyze business plans and assess financial assumptions
Investment Analysis
- Evaluate startups and SMEs across different industries
- Conduct commercial, financial, and strategic analysis
- Support preparation of investment memos and opportunity briefs
- Identify key risks, return drivers, and growth opportunities
Fundraising Support
- Assist in preparing:
- Pitch decks
- Investor materials
- Data rooms
- Support in structuring funding rounds and capital strategies
- Work closely with founders to refine their financial story
Market Research & Insights
- Conduct research on:
- Industry trends
- Market size and growth
- Competitive landscape
- Prepare reports and insights to support advisory mandates
Transaction Support
- Assist in:
- Due diligence processes
- Financial analysis during deal execution
- Data review and documentation
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders when needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in:
- Investment banking
- Private equity
- Financial advisory
- Consulting
- Strong proficiency in:
- Financial modeling (Excel advanced level)
- PowerPoint / presentation development
- Solid understanding of:
- Valuation methodologies
- Financial statements
- Investment concepts
